- Using CAD or SolidWorks to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them.
- Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per client or project specifications.
- Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback in the new designs.
- Developing prototypes and testing new designs.
- Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs.
- Creating blueprints and designs using CAD or AutoCAD.
- Experience in Tool and Die-making and in Metal Forming Tools and Manufacturing.
- Ability to select and use all types of mill and lathe machines, fixtures, gages, etc.
- Read and interpret complex mechanical drawing and common work instructions without supervision.
- Ability to manage several projects at different stages of development.
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
- Practical experience using CAD and SolidWorks software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- The ability to complete projects on time and to specification.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms to assemble products according to customer specifications
- Recognize quality of parts and materials used in production
- Follow company procedures and directives
- Test finished products for defects
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace

- Minimum three years related experience and/or training
