Corporate Social Responsibility Policy Statement

Since our founding in 1920 Mercury has always been committed to the highest standards of corporate citizenship, and today is no different. Given the worldwide reach of our customers, suppliers, employees, and partners, Mercury recognizes the importance of maintaining ethical business practices, labor relations, environmental standards, and human rights by embracing the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.

Ethics – Mercury is committed to always doing business in a legal, ethical, and trustworthy manner, upholding all federal, state, and local regulatory obligations in everything we do.

Environmental Standards – Mercury takes responsibility in helping to protect our planet by minimizing or eliminating waste so that we reduce the impact to our environment through waste management and recycling programs and objectives.

Human Rights – Mercury is committed to upholding the human rights from our employees and through the entire supply chain. This includes the right to freely chosen employment, working age, working hours, treatment, and non-discriminations policies.

Mercury’s corporate social responsibility is further upheld by our Code of Conduct Policy which is routinely monitored and audited for compliance. The Code contains mechanisms to prevent dishonest or unethical conduct, and fosters a culture of honesty and accountability. The police outlines the responsibilities of our employees, including insuring that our suppliers are aware of their obligation to conduct themselves in a legal and ethical way.

Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

At Mercury, we conduct our business with integrity and in strict compliance with the law. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it makes good business sense. By acting with integrity, we earn the trust of our customers, shareholders, coworkers, regulators, suppliers and the communities in which we live and work.

Our code of Business Conduct and Ethics is a key resource in our commitment to compliance and ethics, including environmental responsibility and human rights. Today’s laws and standards of business conduct are complex. The Code explains in a practical, easy-to-understand way many of the basic rules that apply to our business. It also explains our personal responsibilities, as part of Mercury, to speak up if we see something that does not seem right.

Our commitment to integrity must always come first. The quality of our reputation is just as important as the quality of our products and we earn our reputation by demonstrating our commitment to integrity in each and every business decision and action we take.

Together, by following the letter and spirit of the Code, we can help ensure that working for Mercury is a source of great pride
